What happens after the assessment?
A 50-minute assessment costs £100. During this session, Dr Angell can help you consider your needs and, where suitable, signpost you to appropriate services. If you both agree that therapy is appropriate, future sessions will take place weekly and cost £220 per 50-minute session. He maintains a deliberately limited caseload of between 5 and 10 patients.
How do the fees compare with other psychotherapists and clinical psychologists?
The range of fees is wide and based on the experience of the individual therapist/psychotherapist or MBT practitioner.
His fees are comparable with senior, experienced psychologists and psychotherapists.
How are sessions paid for, and what if a session needs to be cancelled?
At the moment, payment is by invoice. Each invoice is sent to your account with the details of how to pay, and you receive an email when it is ready.
You can cancel free of charge up to 7 days before a session. With less notice, or if the session is missed, the full fee is due. You can cancel or move a session from your account. If your practitioner cancels, you pay nothing for that session (or are refunded in full if you have already paid). If you are unwell, tell your practitioner as soon as you can: they decide case by case.
